The package from Ruth arrived with suprises. A lovely ornie (chart is published in JCS 2009 ) She made some changes, which made the pincushion absolutely gorgeous. All Boxed Up!

My exchange piece was all boxed up this morning. I finally found "just the right box". The scary thing.....it was on the floor right next to the front door! That's what I get for stitching so much and neglecting the housework.

The box will be traveling cross country, so I expect that it will arrive sometime next week. Let's hope that it arrives safe and sound!

Happy Stitching!

Thank You Faye!

Faye send me the most beautiful pillow. It arrived while we were on vacation a few weeks ago. This is the first opportunity that I have had to show it to you all.

I'm not sure which LHN pattern it is, but it is not one that I remember seeing. Faye stitched it on 32ct Sandstone and used the specified Crescent Colours.

Thanks again Faye, it is perfect and will go wonderfully in my home.

LHN Summer project

Here is one of my summer projects I had fun stitching and finishing. I found some fabric that matched up pretty good and made my version of a pouch and needlecase. The pouch holds my Q-snaps, magnetic board, scissors and folding stand...really good for travel and packing. So, I am using this LHN design as a true "stitching companion"...Happy stitching everyone! Faye

Thank You Angela!

I received my exchange from Angela P. She stitched "Strawberry House" and finished it as a scissor pocket pinkeep.

She stitched it on 28ct Mushroom Lugana with floss as charted. I have this pattern but haven't been able to stitch it for myself yet. Now I won't have to!

Thank you Angela! I love it!

Stitching for a friend

The next round will be drawn toward the end of September and need to be done by the end of November. Let me know your thoughts about having that be a LHN Christmas ornament exchange.

Almost ready to begin

We are having a wonderful response to our exchange. I will be sending out names next Wednesday, July 29 and they need to be mailed by October 1.

Sunday, July 19, 2009

Exchange starts August 1

If you are interested in joining this Little House Needlework exchange group just let me know. The rules are fairly simple. I need your name and address. You must obey by having your first round piece to the your exchange partner by October 1. You must stitch on linen or any evenweave fabric and finish the piece into a needlecase, scissor fob, ornament, for example. Finish it into something special for your partner. You may sign up at the beginning of any round. The next round will start the first of September and need to be to your exchange partner by November 1. That way you have 2 months to stitch your piece. Please post on this blog that you have received your name and post when you receive your piece. It would be wonderful too, for you to post a picture of the piece you received we can all see. We want to hear of your adventures as you stitch. Please let me know if you have other questions.
